Around us  on the South coast of the UK the Mute Swan is the Swan we see everywhere, where you would expect to see a swan. On the river on canals, lakes and on the sea. Sometimes other swans  can be spotted I believe this one is a Berwick’s Swan.

  1. Unusual bill on the Berwick’s swan. I’ve never seen cygnets riding on the back of their mom at the Park where I walk. We don’t get that many swans down there – more Canada geese and mallards. So I always enjoy seeing them gliding down the center of the creek.
