We rarely see anyone catch any fish along the sea wall where we park up our camper van at Meon shore by Titchfield Haven nature reserve, Most people just seem to catch seaweed. However this evening the Starry Smooth Hound a shark relative were being landed in numbers along the wall. Found in inshore waters over gravel and sand they feed mainly on crabs. They grow up to 1.2m.
This fish was returned safe to the sea.
Beautiful species! 🙂

Yes nice to see most released back into the sea I am not fully comfortable with sport fishing. It was a chance to observe this fish which otherwise I would not see.
