Pulpit Rock


Pulpit Rock on Portland Bill is the remains of a natural arch intentionally left in place by quarry men in the 1870’s it is said to have religious significance. The large slab of rock, leaning against the main stack is said to depict an open Bible leaning on a pulpit.
