Kestrels are a small bird of prey between 10 & 14 inches in length they are found in a wide variety of habitats, seen on farmland and urban areas. They are often seen, hovering beside a motorway. They can be seen perched on tree branches or on a post  on the look out for lunch.They eat small mammals and birds. This bird was by the coast at Tichfield Haven Hampshire.
